Tuna Pasta Bake

Serve with Garlic Baguette

Tuna Pasta Bake
Ingredients:
100g Spaghetti (500g 20p Aldi) = 4p
25g Butter (250g 89p Aldi) = 9p
300ml milk (2.27l 89p Aldi) = 11p
1 tin of tuna (62p Aldi) = 62p
100g grated cheddar cheese (£1.55 350g Aldi) = 44p
1 packet of ready salted crisps - crushed (75p for 6 packets Aldi) = 12p
2 tomatoes (65p for 6 Aldi) = 21p
25g Plain flour (1.5kg 45p Aldi) = 1p
Crusty garlic baguette (34p for 1 Aldi) = 34p


Grand Total = £1.98

Method:
Cook the spaghetti. Melt the butter in a pan and stir in the flour. On a low heat cook for a minute then gradually add the milk. Bring to the boil and simmer until thickened. Drain the spaghetti then fold into the sauce with the tuna and cheese - season also. Turn out into a baking/casserole dish and sprinkle with the crushed crisps. Bake in a pre heated oven 180 degrees 160 fan assisted for 20-30 mins until golden. Top the dish with the thinly sliced tomatoes and serve with slices of the crusty bread. ENJOY!
