Weightwatchers Hungarian Pork with peppers

Low on fat but not on taste

Low Fat Hungarian Pork with Peppers.

Ingredients :
4 Pork Chops (£3.33 for 8 FF) = £1.66
4 tsp smoked paprika (49p 50g jar Aldi) = 4p
3 onions (1.5kg bag 79p FF) = 15p
4 cloves garlic (39p 4 bulbs FF) =  4p
150g Frozen peppers (66p for 500g FF) = 20p
500ml hot chicken stock mixed with All Purpose seasoning) =3p
75g frozen peas (99p kilo bag Aldi) =  8p
2 bags boil in bag rice (59p for 4 Aldi) = 30p
Salt and pepper to season.

GRAND TOTAL FOR 4 = £2.50

Method :
Season the defrosted pork chops with salt,pepper and dusting of paprika. put a little water (or oil ) in a large sided lidded frying pan and heat until hot then add the chops, cook for approx. 5 mins until golden . Remove and set aside.

Fry  the chopped onions /garlic and peppers until soft Reduce the heat / add the stock and return the chops on top of the peppers mixture . Return to the boil then and simmer for 15mins Until the chops are cooked through.

Boil the rice according to the instructions (I like to boil in a little all purpose seasoning. Just before cooked boil the peas in a separate pan or heat in the microwave. Remove the rice from the bags and mix in the peas.  Serve the chops over the rice and peas - with the peppers / onions and juices . Season to taste.
