Chicken & Sweetcorn soup.

A delicious recipe that tastes as good as any restaurant

Chicken and sweetcorn soup (love this one)


Ingredients

1 large chicken breast  = 33p (£3.33 farmfoods)
1 stock cube (20p for 10 Tesco) = 2p all some all purpose seasoning make up 500 ml stock.
1 garlic clove 1p
200g sweetcorn (farmfoods 500g bag 66p ) = 13p
2 tbsp. cornflour dissolved in water - max 5p
1 egg = 16p (6 Free Range Aldi = 99p )

 
Grand total = 70p
Method:

Place the chicken in a pan and cover with the water season (salt n pepper) boil for 10 minutes.Drain and cut into strips -  leave to one side.
Pour stock into the pot and add the garlic and sweetcorn. Add the chicken strips and gradually stir in the cornflour mixture as it begins to simmer. After 1 minute pur in the beaten egg and cook for a further 1 minute stirring with a fork to break the egg pieces.

Season and serve
