Ingredients :
4 Garlic Cloves finely chopped (39p for 4 bulbs FF) = 4p
400g Spaghetti (23p 500g Aldi) = 18p
25g Butter (250g 98p Aldi) = 10p
1/2 onion-finely chopped (79p 1.5kg FF) = 3p
125g Bacon (250g Aldi £1.49) = 75p
2 egg yolks (95p 6 free range eggs Aldi) = 30p
75ml single cream (300ml 69p Aldi) =17p
75g Parmesan (Asda 200g £2.50) = 93p...
Grand Total = £2.50
Method:
Cook the spaghetti. Heat the butter in a saucepan and sautee the onion and garlic, add the chopped bacon and cook for 5
minutes. Blend the egg yolks with the cream and add 6 tbsps. parmesan. Drain the spaghetti when cooked and return to a clean very hot pan, pour the onion, bacon mixture over the spaghetti followed by the egg and cream mixture. Toss through thoroughly over a little heat and season with s & p. When completely heated - serve with the parmesan and ENJOY!!
